Environmental Education

Environmental education is often defined as "organized efforts to teach about how natural environments function and, particularly, how human beings can manage their behaviour and ecosystems in order to live sustainably."
It has also been used to describe the educational process, whether it is formal or informal education, that produces good citizens who have the critical thinking, problem solving and reflective skills necessary to make the important life decisions required in the future.

Second Nature Learning Services is committed to excellence in environmental education. In fact, one of our underlying beliefs is the concept that every piece of curriculum (every unit of learning) should contain some aspect reflective of environmental education values. They might impart environmental knowledge, encourage positive environmental attitudes or foster sound environmental behaviours. Simply and arguably more importantly, they might focus on developing critical thinking, problem solving and reflective skills.
